Is it okay to draw on white canvas converse with Prismacolor markers?

I’m getting Prismacolor markers for my birthday and I have plain white canvas converse. I was wondering if I draw on the canvas part with those markers, will it get smudged (aside from being in the rain/snow). But if I do walk around when it rains, will it come out completely, or just fade? Any tips or suggestions?
