Okay so I want to know what paints and brushes are good for a rookie painter, who wants to paint on canvas. Nothing to expensive or too harsh. And what are your favorite things to paint?

I have been paining on canvas for a while and i just started to experiment with spray paint. Someone suggested that i should invest in a spray gun. I have absolutely no idea what kind to use and how to use one. Do I mix paint and then put it in there? I was just wondering if anyone could help me out and tell me what I should look into.
Thank you and is there any particular one that you recommend and what are the differences between them?
Also I’m planning on working on large canvases.

I need to stretch my own 4×5 foot canvas for a painting.

I’ve never done this before, does anyone have good instructions, and tips on where I can get cheap materials? I live in Colorado.

It doesn’t need to be high quality, it’s just for an intro painting class.
I don’t need a frame, I need to stretch a canvas.

Steely Dan – Bad Sneakers

Another Steely Dan favorite of mine I set to a video montage. New Yorkers, i’ve included various parts of the city that you will no doubt recognize. :) Oddly enough, I haven’t seen anyone else post a bad sneakers vid yet. Could I be the first? *gasp*!

I am planning to make some large frames to stretch canvas over. Probably about 5 ft. x 5 ft. to 6 ft. x 8 ft. Do you need to put supporting bars across the frame… like in the middle… for extra support?… or is that not necessary? I noticed with the large canvases I buy from the store, they have bars all across the back to make it stronger.

I’ve got dark spots on the navy blue canvas carriage top of my Lincoln Towncar that I can’t remove. I’ve used soap, water, white vinegar, carpet cleaner, spot remover…no luck. Some dirt washes off, but the main stain is still there. I park under an oak tree, so perhaps it’s giving off some type of goop that’s landing on my roof? Any help is appreciated.
