How long does it take for a sneaker to biodegrade in general?

i got the DGK Stencil Deck and Circa Shoes. I am saving up for Nike Zoom Tres but since im not gonna get the mone for a while i just got these for like 30 dollars.

I plan to start spray painting on canvas. This will be my first time painting on this material, so I had a couple questions about preservation. Do I have to apply anything to the canvas before I spray paint? And what do I apply after my art has dried in order to preserve the piece? If I combined the use of acrylics with spray paint, should I apply something else to preserve both mediums?

I just bought a new pair of white canvas wedge shoes. The actual wedge part isn’t canvas but the top part is and so is the area where my toes are. Does that make sense? I know they are going to get dirty fast so I was wondering how I should clean them? Thanks.
